Today I am back after three weeks of wonderful holiday. And what better way to return than with both a new website – and an update on a new book, I am writing.
First things first, today marks the launch of my new website here on MADSJVK.COM. I have been wanting to do a new website in English for a while, where I can share what I do, learn and provide tips, tricks and thoughts to all of you out there. Before summer I set the basics up, and I thought this would be a great time to launch.
So here you go! Besides providing you with my blog NOTES OF VALUE, I will be updating select cases from my work, list what I do and the services I provide plus provide some more background on myself. I hope you will find it useful.
As for the other big thing – the book – I handed in the first draft on my new book with the working title “Effective Digital Strategy” just before I went on vacation. It has been an insane project so far: Two weeks set aside for writing up some useful procedures and action points for everybody looking to build a digital strategy that has what it needs – and not so much more.
It goes without saying that when you set about writing a book in just 2 – TWO! – weeks there are some corners, you need to cut. So in essence you won’t find a lot of discussion in the book and you’ll find no references to other sources.
It’s just straight from the gut, and I like to think of it more as a roster for the process and what you need to remember and not at all a deep dive into the various angles of different types of digital strategy with all the seriousness that goes with that. It’s meant to be an easy, quick read and hopefully a useful reference guide. Just so your expectations are aligned with what the book is actually going to be.
Right now the draft is being proof-read by a group of people here at Peytz & Co, where I work. It will also be the company that ends up publishing the book once we think we’re ready. When that will be I’m by no means certain of yet, but I’m hoping it will be in good time for Christmas.
I will of course provide you with an update, once I know more. In the meantime I hope you will take a look around the website. Please keep in mind that it too is a work in progress.
